Praise & Reviews

“Brilliant concept and terrific writing. Divorced people will relate to POOR WIDOW ME, too, and I can already see it as a movie or a TV series.”
~ PENNY MARSHALL, Actress, Director, Producer

“Widows will find comfort, inspiration and laughter here.  It’s a humorous, touching read and, in the words of the late Jimmy Scibelli, ‘Abbondanza!’  An amusing, heartfelt look at life after loss.”

5.0 out of 5 stars Insight into the journey, January 12, 2012
…What happens when you unexpectedly lose your life partner? From the early shock to dating again, this book opens up Carol’s thoughts and feelings, so that we join her on the journey.

As a pastor, I am always looking into resources and ways to help others cope…While this might benefit some grieving widows (after the initial grieving period), I strongly recommend it for friends of those who have lost a loved one to help them better understand what may be going on and perhaps even to open up conversation…Or better yet, buy a second copy and read it together… I celebrated each step of the journey she shared. I trust that you will appreciate it in the same way.

Somehow she manages to recount bittersweet memories and funny things that occur…She learned to look on the bright side and worked her way through her grief. ~The Rebecca Review

”Carol Scibelli has given us a humorous look at the often sad and depressing side of widowhood. ..What she has to say is quite relevant and parsed in such a manner that it is an enjoyable and very easy read…Carol was able to express her fears and needs and wants, and they were written so well, in a style that is easy to accept. I would suggest every woman read this book. It is filled with wisdom that we can all appreciate.”Highly Recommended. prisrob 12-02-11
